Frederick Sum
Chief Executive Officer |
Mr. Sum brings to PayEase rich background in the Telecom / IT field and strong operation experience. He serves on the board of several publicly listed companies as well as the Advisory Board of high-tech companies that cover the field of Wireless Communication, IT and ASPs.
A veteran in China, Mr. Sum went to the PRC as the first Managing Director of Bell Canada International ( Asia) in 1980. In 1986 Mr. Sum was the founding Director of Hutchison Telecom spear heading the company’s thrust into Cellular Telephone, Paging, Cable Television and Broadcast Services.
In 1995 Mr. Sum became the Chief Operating Officer of the Hong Kong Public Company - Star Telecom Group who had substantial investment in the Hong Kong and China Cellular and Internet properties.
Prior to PayEase, Mr. Sum was the Co-Chairman of Tricom which was acquired by Mr. Richard Li, rename Pacific Century Cyber Works (PCCW), and later used as the public vehicle to acquired Hong Kong Telecom.
Following the acquisition, the Tricom stock went up over one hundred times over a two days period. The stock became the fastest rising stock in the shortest period of time in the history of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. |

Ekkehard Rathgeber

Extensive management experience as former COO of Tom Group, the leading Greater China Media Group (associated company of Hutchison Whampoa), President of Bertelsmann Direct Group from 1995 until 2003.
Set up Bertelsmann Book Club, BOL, Arvato Systems, Bertelsmann Asia Publishing, Arvato Services China.
Resident in Shanghai since 1995; fluent in Mandarin.
Tournament Director of the China Open, the major ATP/WTA tennis tournament in China.
Board member of several companies in China
Graduated from WHU School of Corporate Management Coblence, 1-year scholarship at Beijing University and executive education at Harvard Business School (Alumni). |

Tim Ng
CEO of Direct Marketing

Mr. Ng is the CEO of the CLP operations of PayEase China. He has a widespread distribution network of telecommunication products and services in the Asia region. Capitalising on his 20 years’ of experience in the telecommunication industry, he has established a valuable access to various operational arms of the Government bodies and telecommunication corporations such as China Telecom and China Unicom.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Ng worked with Price Waterhouse Management Consultants of Hong Kong, specializing in Treasury Management and O&M services. Mr. Ng, aged 51, holds a BA Degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Manchester and MBA in General Management from the University of Aston in Birmingham, UK.

Kino Kwok
EVP Operations & Business Development |
A honor graduate of Computer Engineering from the Newcastle University (Australia), Kino Kwok has extensive managing experience in information technology, telecommunications and finance industry. Prior to joining PayEase, Mr. Kwok was the CTO of a Hong Kong listed company iAsia Technology Ltd. He led the team developing online financial trading products and providing SI and ASP services to financial institutions including stock exchanges in Asia region. He played an important role on getting iAsia listed in Hong Kong GEM board in 2001.
Prior to that, Kino was in Taiwan helping one of the first Telecom operator to build and manage their telecom network. He was also responsible for developing their billing system and value added services to customer. He was leading the team to develop the first Chinese graphical featured rich stock information terminal for a major Telecom Operator in Hong Kong. |

Mr. So Tsz For
EVP Technology & Development |
A honor graduate of EE engineering from the University of Hong Kong, So Tsz For work extensively in the IT and Telecom industry for over 18 years. He was the CTO of EPRO Telecom the largest call center and CRM solution provider in South China, designing building and operating over 50 call centers for key customers such as China Mobile, China Unicom, all the major Banks and Guangdong Government etc. Prior to that Mr. So was the Technical Director at Mililot Corp. responsible for developing wireless Financial Information services for China, Japan, Korea and S.E. Asia including Malaysia.
Prior to that, Mr. So was leading the team to design and implement a nationwide mobile paging system that covers 3 provinces and 13 Cities in China. He has very extensive experience dealing with Telecom Operators in China. |

Jimmy Li
EVP of Loyalty Marketing

Graduated from Shanghai JiaoTong University, Mr. Li has extensive experience in technology, consulting, sales & marketing, and business development & management. Mr. Li started his professional career in IT & direct marketing for over 16 years and has worked for Oracle (technical consultant), IBM (Sales Manager), Bertelsmann (Business Director) and MilesUp (General Manager).
Prior to joining PayEase, Jimmy has founded MilesUp (Consumer Loyalty Company), providing professional product and infrastructure solutions as well as development and operation services to several international/national enterprises. Mr. Li led the business and team to help customer develop and optimize IT/marketing framework and tools, supporting their business demands on data warehouse, e-commerce, CRM and direct marketing.

Tony Bai

Prior to PayEase, Tony Bai has ten‐year rich experience served in Alibaba.com (R&D department), Bertelsmann Group (arvato) and MilesUp as the Engineer, System Architect, Senior (Sales) Consultant, Project Director/Manager, Operation VP as well as Entrepreneur with extensive experiences in Loyalty Program, CRM, e‐Commerce, Direct Marketing & Media Solutions.
Bai is now responsible for loyalty & marketing services division. During the past few years in PayEase, Mr. Bai was leading the team to design, develop and implement successful loyalty program solutions to the Telecom, the Bank & the Retails customers. Additionally, he has also helped the company to form a competitive execution team in China.

Richard Cheng

Richard Cheng is a qualified accountant of ACCA with over 20 years’ working experience of corporate finance, financial management and auditing.
Mr. Cheng has worked in KPMG for 3 years and as financial controller in four HK main board listed companies with business covering industries of Telecom, Internet, corporate finance and manufacturing. Two of these listed companies are PRC private enterprises and he was the in charge of listing project.
Richard also has good business development experience. He helped the set up of a trading company in New York in 1987 for a large HK manufacturer. In 1990s’, he also participated in set up telecom joint ventures in Asia and internet business in HK.

Jean Marc Lew

Jean Marc Lew is a qualified ACCA with extensive experience in corporate finance and management, working extensively in China and overseas, in sectors covering IT, Telecom, Wireless Internet & Value-Added Services and Audit.
Jean Marc has worked extensively in China with TOM Online Inc. for its financial reporting, compliance and management processes. Fluent in Mandarin, English and French, he helped bridged the gap between PRC GAAP and US GAAP for the IPO exercise of our China-based operations.
He is instrumental in developing the financial business model following our M&A and integrating the payment services at PayEase. He has extensive knowledge about the company structure, matters related to foreign-funded investment and doing business in the Chinese IT industry. |
